This dessert has been appropriately rewarded the title "BEST DESSERT EVER" by my husband and my father! This is good folks, REALLY good! And the best part is, it's easy. And the next best part is it's really good the next day too. I recommend picking at it on and off all day until it's gone. (Thanks again OBB for this recipe)
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup real butter, softened (the butter needs to be soft, but not melted)
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 uncooked frozen pie crust
Vanilla ice cream and hot fudge for serving
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Beat eggs in a large mixing bowl on high speed until foamy. Beat in flour, white sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in butter. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread into pie shell.
Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a knife inserted halfway between the edge and the center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack, or serve slightly warm. Top with ice cream and hot fudge!
